BT100AV Series Beacon Testers (BT100AVtriple / BT100AVS)

Building on the features of the industry standard BT100A, we’ve added 243 MHz frequency and power measurements.  You can also listen to real-time audio on 121.5 or 243 MHz!  With the BT100AVtriple, you still get the powerful 406 MHz graphic measurements for power, phase modulation, and spectrum.

The BT100AV series meets and exceeds the measurement requirements for ELT in the USA (FAA Part 91.207), in Canada (CAR 571 Appendix G), and Europe (CAA/EuroCAE requirements).  These Beacon Testers are in fact a cost effective solution, by eliminating the need for a spectrum analyzer, and other costly equipment.  Don’t risk incomplete testing of your beacons – use the BT100AVtriple to test them thoroughly.  A Beacon Tester that ONLY decodes the 406 message is not suitable to meet the increasing demands from the industry to ensure the beacons are indeed operating properly.

In compliance with your Quality Assurance requirements, detailed calibration data is included with each Certificate of Calibration.

If your requirements include the need to measure 406 MHz frequency stability, then the BT100AVS model is the one to choose.  The BT100AVS has all of the same features as the BT100AVtriple, but includes the measurement for frequency stability.

The BT100AV Series provides thorough beacon measurement capabilities at an affordable price and include:

  • Complete 406, 121.5 + 243 MHz channel measurements
  • Receives all Cospas-Sarsat past, current, and future frequency channels
